The Lesson I Learnt on That Monday
There are always some incidents in life which keep you
wondering……. Can I really make an impact in someone’s life?
It happened on
Monday.
That day no one was talking to me nicely…except for my
best friend.
As I was an extrovert, I used to talk to everyone in
my class kindly. But sometimes it felt that some of them didn’t like me as they
were always talking rudely to me. You know teenagers……they feel bad for every little thing.
That day, I did too.
I got really upset. I didn’t talk to anyone and neither
did they talk to me. My best friend noticed this. She told me that I don’t have to be sad
for such small things. Incidents happen in life which make us feel really bad. But
we can’t let anyone affect us. We can’t give the remote control of our life to
everyone. We have to learn to face people and if we feel really bad, we can
ignore all the barking dogs.
She told me that from nursery to fifth, she was not a
positive person. But, when she met me in sixth grade, I changed her life. She saw
that I was an optimistic person and I was her inspiration for becoming a positive
person.
That day, I felt so good. I had never realised that I could
make an impact in someone’s life. My best friend has always been there for me
and I am happy that I could make an impact in her life.
So, whenever you feel you’re not good enough, just talk
to a closed one. It can be anyone close to you - your parents, friends, sibling. It will make you feel so good;
you have no idea. And if anyone says anything to you, just ignore them. That
was clever people do!
