Inspiration
It's a strong word, isn't it? It can lead people to do anything, literally anything.
I'm sure you have been inspired at some point in life. It might be your parents, siblings, friends, or role models. We, too, have inspiring stories to tell.
Today, I'm going to be revealing a secret. I'm going to be telling you a tale of how I was inspired to keep writing.
When I was in eighth grade, I discovered that I loved the subject, physics, especially astronomy. I wanted to pursue something in it.
But I was afraid.
Afraid that I might forget writing. Afraid that I might not be able to fulfill my dream of publishing a novel. Afraid that my writings wouldn't be read by others.
I couldn't let that happen! Besides, the effect that writing had on me was huge (still is!).
I couldn't quit writing!
But who has ever heard of a scientist who writes fantasy and mystery novels?!
After a few days, I was absent-mindedly looking through the bookshelf, when my eye caught sight of 'The Land of Stories'. It was my favourite book series when I was in fifth grade.
I decided to read the series once again. When I was reading the second book, there was a scene when Alexandra (one of the main characters) discovers that she belongs in the fairy-tale world. In the real world, she feels a piece missing inside of her.
That was when it struck me.
I belonged to the small little world inside my head. I belonged to the writing world.

A couple of days later, I discovered that a prologue series of 'The Land of Stories' was going to be released soon.
I preordered 'A Tale of Magic...' and it arrived after a few days. I devoured the books in 2-3 days, reading each and every chapter carefully, trying to memorize the enchanting novel. I connected with the protagonist almost immediately.
The society at that time did not allow girls to read, but Brystal (the protagonist) broke the rules to read, because reading was her passion. She felt that her spectacles were her superpower.
It almost sounded like the unsaid rule that scientists don't write books other than sci-fi. Writing was my superpower. I wanted to go ahead with it.
And maybe this whole thing was just my prejudice.
Anyways, I was curious about the author of these two series, Chris Colfer. I mean, he had actually inspired me twice!
So, I searched Google, went to Wikipedia, had a look at the official website of The Land of Stories, and went through tons of other websites.
Chris Colfer had yet again succeeded in inspiring me.
He is an actor. And a singer. Along with that, he has written tons of novels.
Chris Colfer has done it.
If he can do it, so can I.
(my actual thoughts after I got to know about him)
He inspired me in ways that are hard to be expressed in words.
He gave me the willpower to keep going, to keep writing.
He contributed to me being a published writer and to me celebrating my four-and-a-half-year anniversary of opening this blog.
See? Inspiration.
As I said, a strong word...
I am thrilled to share with you all that a short story of mine, called My Enigmatic Aunt has been published by Scholastic in their book, Under the Milky Way.
It was released in January itself. I'll be extremely glad if you buy the book!
Also, I have opened my Instagram account called, My Fascinating World, where I post quotes on writing, and tips and tricks for writing better. I'll be elated if you follow it!

Toodles! I'll see you soon✨
Inspiration. That's a word enough for explaining all difficult actions in life, especially ones that others find... unconventional.

It's like I am looking at a mirror 😭😭😭 I used to love Physics, especially Astrophysics, as well, but that's when I realised my love for Literature and its been a journey since then! Besides that, Chris Colfer was a hugee inspiration for me as well, although for an entirely different reason (aka Kurt Hummel from Glee). Just goes on to show how much these little things can inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves. I really loved this!!
