Most of you must be wondering, "what on earth is this?!".

Well, I am a punjabi and we celebrate a festival called Lohri. It happens on the 13th of January every year. All the family members sit around borne fire, sing this song and eat peanuts, jaggery and popcorn. Occasionally, we also dance💃. Lohri is one of favourite festivals (all festivals are my favourite, I can’t choose 😬).

Lohri is celebrated because it marks the coldest night of the year. It is actually celebrated a night before Makar Sankranti (Hindu new year). It was historically celebrated by farmers to celebrate the harvest of Rabi crops (the winter crops).
Well, now I’m off to celebrate Lohri at my grandparents’ house.
Jaladi milde ham....... 👋
......by the way, Happy Lohri!
