Time Quadrants⏱
I was asked to write an article for the children’s post and I chose this topic because of my recent experience.
When the online classes were started, I got extensive homework. Along with that I had to study for the concept tests and assessments. The work was piling up and when I would get tired, I would keep watching Netflix, surfing Instagram and watching YouTube videos. Because of this, sometimes I wasn’t be able to chat with my best friend, video call my buddies, play board games with brother and watch movies with my family.
Then, one fine day the book - 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenager - caught my eye. I had read it before, but I thought of going through it again. When I reached the third chapter, Put First Things First, I suddenly remembered the time quadrants.
The next day, the first thing I did was make my schedule. In it I added sufficient breaks (which I really needed), blocked out time for the most important things to be done in the week and voila! I was free till 6 in the evening.
In the words of Sean Covey, the author of the book, “A planner is not meant to be your master but a tool to help you live your life.”
Now, you must be wondering, “Alright Diti, this has helped you, but what exactly are these time quadrants?”
I’m sharing the article I wrote for children’s post :-
So, you see, you can also divide your time into these four quadrants. Now, it’s not that you can focus all of your time in quadrant 2, but what you can do is minimise your time in the rest of the three quadrants.
Good luck!
So glad to hear that 😊
